What are Alert Sounds?

Live streamers use alert sounds to add a fun layer to their content. By adding sounds to your content – such as Twitch alerts, events and other widgets, you can add a layer of interaction with your viewers and help create bigger, clip-worthy moments.

Sounds can be uploaded and used on stream using StreamElements or Streamlabs’ alert widget systems.

How to add chat activated sound effects using Streamlabs

Step 1 - No Longer an Option 😔

Streamlabs had a tool called “Streamlabs Chatbot” which allowed for sound effects to be triggered. Over time this has changed to Cloudbot. Unfortunately, being able to trigger sound effects with Cloudbot, is not a feature that was included. It’s no longer possible for your chat to easily trigger sound effects using commands using a Streamlabs product. If this feature is important to you, we recommend trying out StreamElements Bot.
